How Wind Affects Aircraft Control
How wind affects aircraft control
Date and Time:
Thursday, November 15, 2018, starting at 18:00 Eastern Standard Time
What do you know about the effect that wind has on aircraft control? Have you ever questioned your abilities in a crosswind situation? Did you know that loss of control on the ground, which accounts for almost half of all loss of control accidents, is almost exclusively caused by a pilot’s inability to correctly deal with a crosswind.
Join us as Master Flight Instructor/Designated Pilot Examiner/FAASTeam Lead Rep Hobie Tomlinson discusses how to plan, prepare, mitigate, and deal with windy weather.
