FAA Knowledge Exams

We Offer ALL FAA Written Tests in our PSI Testing Center.

Tests may be scheduled weekdays at either 9AM or 1PM.  We will also do our best to accommodate a time that works for you.

Our normal business hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm EST.

All FAA tests are $165.00

AOPA and EEA members receive a $10.00 discount with proof of current membership.


US Citizens:

Only need one form of ID. Preferably a Drivers License.

This must have the following: Current photograph, permanent residential address (and mailing address if different) PO Box is NOT acceptable. Proof of age, and signature.

Acceptable forms of ID include, but are not limited to: Driver’s license, Government ID card, Passport, and Alien residency (green) card.

Both US Citizens and Non US Citizens:

Will also need to bring a copy of their authorization to take the test. This includes certificates of completion signed by an instructor. Endorsements, or the results of the test if you are retaking the exam.

Non- US Citizens: 

Must have two valid forms of ID.

One of the two forms of ID MUST be a PASSPORT. The second form of ID must contain: current photograph, Permanent residential address (and mailing address if different). Proof of age, and signature. The second form of ID can be a Visa, Government ID card or Drivers license.

The following items may be used as proof of a current permanent residential address:

Utility bill, Medical Certificate, FAA Form 8610-2, Bank Statement, Insurance card, Pilot’s license, Voter Registration card.


Yes, upon approval, we do allow aircraft owners to fly in to take their FAA written tests here at Vermont Flight Academy. We have areas for Tie Down or the Aircraft can be chalked in front of our building. Please call ahead first for approval.
Payment is taken before your test begins. We accept all forms of payment: Cash, Check, Credit Card, Apple Pay.
We provide the figure book, scratch paper, and pencil. You are allowed to bring a plotter, E6B and a calculator. We also provide a bag on the back of your chair to store your personal items.
