Aircraft Rental at Vermont Flight Academy
In order to rent at VFA, you will need to complete an Aircraft Checkout with one of our instructors. If you completed training here, you most likely received one or more Aircraft Checkouts during that time. You will need to complete a Standard Operating Procedures written exam, as well as an Aircraft Review Questionnaire for the applicable aircraft.

Our Rental Policy

- Must fly every 90 days to avoid recurrent checkout requirement

In order to serve your rental needs and ensure your safety and the highest quality assurance possible, Vermont Flight Academy maintains a number of important rental policies.
Among these policies are a need for all renters to receive checkouts in the aircraft they fly, take several short written exams and adhere to currency requirements. Per company, insurance and regulatory requirements, we also collect your personal information and copies of your ID and other documents.

Rental Insurance Requirements
Aviation non-owner insurance is required for all students and renters prior to flying with Vermont Flight Academy.
Insurance may be acquired through any insurance provider as long as the below minimum coverage requirements are met. When filling out either application, make sure to choose plans that meet the minimums. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Starrlink
When using Starrlink insurance, the Silver, Gold and Platinum coverage packages meet our minimums. However, the most cost-effective choice would be to manually select VFA’s coverage minimums listed above from the “Coverages” section of the insurance application. The total cost should total $314.00
